Speaker 1:

Welcome to the place of the year where you love me, love me, where you longed for me. Welcome back to another bonus track. Welcome back to another bonus track. On June 8, 2025, we had an auspicious day, an auspicious ceremony. That is, the eye-opening ceremony for our new statue of Amitabha Buddha. Amitabha Buddha is the Buddha presiding over pure land realms, heavenly worlds, if you will, also known as the Buddha of Limitless Lifespan, the Tomancic. The eye-opening ceremony is an installment, or an enshrinement of a new statue. For us, that auspicious day was Sunday, june 8, 2025.

Speaker 1:

Such ceremonies are, on various levels, elaborate, complex and so tend to take longer. Albeit, what is seen during the ceremony itself is a tip of the iceberg, nonetheless, they do take longer. As is the tradition, the Sunday services are followed by a Dharma talk, what we call a Bob Moon, and so, following a unique ceremony such as the eye-opening, ie needed to be succinct in what is said afterwards. Succinct, of course, is frequently a trap, on the account that it could either be over-simplistic or too concentrated. Nonetheless, I thought perhaps people who were either unable to join us for said ceremony, they could kind of vicariously if we will perhaps give another listen to what was said. This is today this bonus track? What are three? I asked Puddha Dharma Sangha. They answered Frequently in the sutras we find these lines those who have planted good seeds in the past cultivated good deeds, etc. Etc. Etc.

Speaker 1:

Your presence here today is a sign, is not coincidental. You didn't happen to be here today. You may think so. That's simply because you are unable to trace the twists and turns of causalities, the threads that weave the tapestry we call life. Nonetheless, I say unto you you have planted many good seeds in your past and so you are here today, present for this auspicious occasion. Among you, there are lotuses in various stages of growth and enlightenment. There are more than 1200 of you here today, present to our incalculable various Buddhas and bodhisattvas presiding. There are dharma guardians. There's dancing and heavenly music rejoicing. There are great masters of the past present in approval.

Speaker 1:

Behold, behold every molecule of your whirling, every fiber of you being electric. Behold the synaptic explosions of your brain throwing sparks of stars onto the unblemished firmament. Behold the kaleidoscope of the various dimensions interweaving, dancing, birthing. The kaleidoscope of the various dimensions interweaving, dancing, birthing, dying, creating and recreating worlds, permeating worlds, microcosms and macrocosms. Behold the fragrant perfume.

Speaker 1:

A word of warning the seed planting isn't over. Beware, should you, in your pride, say to yourself but of course, of course, I'm here, I have done many a good thing, planted many a good seeds. Such pride will rot the soil. Beware, should you think to yourself insufficient and say to yourself but I've done many a bad thing, planted many a bad seed. Such self-doubt will rot the soil.

Speaker 1:

If your heart is the soil, if your heart is the soil and your good actions are the seeds, what then are the Buddha, dharma and the Sangha? Any gardener knows that you need fertile soil and a good seed, and the sun, the rain and the wind. The Buddha is the sun. Your wisdom is the sun. Your wisdom is the sun, the darkness and ignorance dispelling sun. The Dharma is the rain. The rain of the teachings falls on all indiscriminately, without judgment or prejudice. The Sangha is the wind, it is movement, it is the teachings put into action. Each and every one of you is therefore well equipped with the fertile soil of the heart, the viable seeds of good action, the wisdom sun of the Buddha, the nourishing rain of the Dharma and the nurturing wind of the Sangha. Thanks for watching.
